This spring, at a special ceremony in Ottawa, Monica Byrne, Registrar and long time member of  Parent Finders - National Capital Region, was presented with the above prestigious award by Governor General Romeo LeBlanc.  Monica has also acted as the Canadian Liaison Representative to the American Adoption Congress headquartered in Washington, DC and in that capacity has provided Canadian input to the AAC and participated in workshops at their annual conventions.  She has tirelessly given of her compassion and expertise in the best interests of all members of the adoption community and we at Parent Finders send her our collective heartfelt thanks and congratulations.  Monica was nominated to receive this award by her peers and having her family in attendance added to the pleasure of the day for her.  As we all know our family support is A very vital component of the volunteer efforts all Parent Finder members provide to their communities.
